Losing inches, not weight is better than you think i really wish that scale weight wasn't our standard measurement of health or fitness i understand why it's such a popular measurement: it's simple to take, it's easy to compare over time, and it's a measurement that everyone understands. I have had no weight loss, averaging over 13k steps and added curcuit training and yoga once a week. trying to weigh all foods for accurate measurements. i feel tighter and clothes fit fine. though, based on fitbit, i should be shedding .8 pounds a week.. When it comes to weight loss, that number on the scale seems to hold a lot of power. if it's not budging, frustration sets in. but sometimes the number on the scale isn't the best way to measure progress. if you're staying on track with your diet and exercise program, you're most likely losing fat but gaining muscle -- and that's a good thing..
